Abstract

The total hip replacement, also referred to as THR, is a surgical treatment that is frequently carried out in order to address severe hip joint degradation, improve mobility, and reduce chronic discomfort. The post-surgical rehabilitation process is an extremely important component that plays a significant role in restoring functionality and providing the best possible healing conditions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role that physiotherapy plays in the post-surgical rehabilitation process for patients who have undergone total hip replacement (THR). The study focuses specifically on improving patients' range of motion, strength, gait, and quality of life. Physiotherapy techniques such as range of motion exercises, strengthening regimens, and gait training were added into the program in order to give patients with a comprehensive and organized approach to their treatment. The findings, which were analyzed over the course of a period of twelve weeks, demonstrated significant improvements in mobility, lower levels of discomfort, and greater levels of functional independence. The prevention of issues such as joint stiffness and muscular weakness was another benefit that resulted from the utilization of physiotherapy.
