This paper presents an academic examination of daylighting and natural ventilation in building design from contemporary architectural, environmental, social and professional perspectives. The discussion considers the conceptual foundation of the topic, its role in architectural planning and design, contemporary applications, design and implementation practices, environmental and social implications, professional and ethical challenges, and future directions. Architecture increasingly operates within a complex context shaped by climate change, urbanization, technological development, resource constraints and changing patterns of social life. The paper therefore connects established architectural knowledge with current approaches to performance, adaptability, resilience, inclusion and human well-being. Attention is also given to interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based design and responsible decision-making.
