Abstract

The management of the life cycle of electric vehicle (EV) batteries has emerged as a prominent area of concern as a result of the growing popularity of EVs as an environmentally friendly mode of transportation. innovations in the field of recycling and sustainability of batteries used in electric vehicles, with a particular emphasis on improving the management of the battery life cycle will be discussed. this article discusses the current state of battery recycling, the challenges associated with disposing of spent batteries, and the environmental impacts that are caused by mining for raw materials. Future innovations in battery recycling, remanufacturing, and second-life usage are also discussed, with the objectives of reducing the negative impact on the environment and making the most effective use of available resources. In addition, the study investigates the ways in which new battery technologies, such as solid-state batteries and other chemistries, could contribute to the development of electric vehicles that are less harmful to the environment.  In this article, we will examine these changes in greater detail to demonstrate how the electric vehicle industry may lessen the negative impact it has on the environment through improved management of the battery's life cycle, the implementation of a circular economy strategy, and the achievement of sustainability goals.
